Institutional racism is not the same as racism. That’s why it had that whole extra word in there. It means stuff, you know?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I would say racism without institutional power behind it is prejudice.
You can have prejudice that doesn’t involve race in any way. Racism kinda has to. related but distinct concept.
I obviously mean racial prejudice, I kind of thought since we were talking about race I wouldn’t need to specify.
Because racial prejudice is called racism, which isn’t limited to institutionalized racism. That’s why they have those qualifying words in front of them.
